iCount Coalition: Turning Commitment Into Global Action

Read about the iCount Coalition commitment here

Since its launch at the UN World Data Forum in Medellín in November 2024, the iCount Coalition commitment has quickly become one of the most active Commit to Data participants. In just a few months, the Coalition has demonstrated how partnerships and advocacy can advance more inclusive data systems that reflect the realities of all individuals.

Centering Lived Experiences in Data

At the core of iCount’s work is a simple but powerful principle: data should reflect people’s lives, not just averages. The Coalition works to ensure that inequalities — across gender, disability, age, income, and other dimensions — are fully captured and used to inform policy and decision-making.

Highlights from Recent Activities

  • Global launch at the UN World Data Forum (November 2024): iCount officially launched in Medellín, sharing its vision for centering individuals in data systems.

Expanding Partnerships and Recognition
