The objective of the commitment is to enhance the quality, accuracy, timeliness, accessibility, and transparency of official statistics in Jordan, while strengthening the capacity of the Department of Statistics to provide reliable and up-to-date data that supports evidence-based policymaking, planning, and decision-making.
The commitment aims to address the need to improve the quality, accuracy, timeliness, accessibility, and transparency of official statistical data in Jordan. It seeks to strengthen the availability of reliable and up-to-date statistics to support evidence-based policymaking, planning, monitoring, and decision-making.
The commitment will strengthen the production, management, and dissemination of official statistics by improving data quality, adopting modern statistical methods and digital tools, enhancing coordination with data-producing institutions, and expanding public access to statistical information. Key activities will include improving data collection and processing, strengthening data-sharing mechanisms, developing user-friendly statistical platforms, and building staff capacity. The intended outcomes are more accurate, timely, accessible, and transparent official statistics that better support evidence-based policymaking and decision-making
Progress will be monitored through clear milestones, performance indicators, and regular reporting on the implementation of planned activities. The success of the commitment will be evaluated based on improvements in data quality, timeliness, accessibility, transparency, stakeholder engagement, and user satisfaction. Periodic reviews will be conducted to identify challenges, measure outcomes, and make necessary adjustments to ensure the commitment achieves its intended results.
