To support reinforcement of FPOS worldwide by organizing webinars to educate policy makers and statisticians to help to solve difficult situations when official statisticians face difficulties due to their positions in statistical services
The global data ecosystem is rapidly evolving, presenting new opportunities and challenges for national statistical offices, international agencies, and data producers. As countries work to safeguard the trustworthiness, quality, and independence of official statistics, the Fundamental Principles of Official Statistics (FPOS) remain the cornerstone for ethical, professional, and credible statistical systems.
The Friends of Official Statistics (FoS) Network—a global community of former senior statisticians, academics, experts, and advocates—will be playing a unique and increasingly important role in advancing and protecting these principles. Through advocacy, technical support, and advise, the FoS Network shall contribute to strengthening national statistical systems and promoting evidence-based policymaking.
